Wargods of Olympus Kickstarter

Crocodile Games, run by Chris Fitzpatrick, has started up a Kickstarter project and things look like they are moving along nicely. With this project they are aiming to get their Wargods of Olympus rulebook printed and are release another faction, the Trojans, to go along with their existing Spartan and Myceneans. There are stretch goals to be met and if things fly along well enough they will move forwarding with getting the Amazons, Corinthians and Athenians into production as well. Fitz is a great sculptor, one of my favorites, and the entire line reflects his attention to detail (even when he is employing another sculptor). So even if you aren't interested in the playing the game the character figures are worth picking up just to paint.

Although I haven't played Wargods of Aegyptus in years now it still remains one of my favorite set of miniature rules. It has an innovative movement system that really keeps on your toes and thinking throughout the whole game and keeps both players involved during the entire turn. We have been waiting on Wargods of Olympus for a long time now and for Fitz to say that the rules are deep into playtesting is an understatement, this rules have been in progress for at least 5 years now!

I'm pretty excited about this one. It hits me at a bad time and I'm not sure I can participate in it. Still its good to know that by the end of this year I will be able to buy this stuff makes me feel pretty good.
