And if Floods Weren't Enough
Last Thursday, the day after the rains started (beautiful today though) my younger son was in a bit of a fender bender. Fortunately he is fine, sore, but fine and he wasn't at fault either. Remember, turning traffic never has the right away unless its a green arrow! The gentleman that hit Alex had his vision obscured by a car in the other turn lane, Alex was going straight through on the green. Based on the extent of the damage I don't think he even slowed down when he started the turn into Alex's lane.
Alex's car, the good side. The front bumper is in the backseat
The not so good side
And the driver's door still won't open
The bad car
I think this one is even more heavily damaged, definitely not a 15 mph collision,
I had originally thought that the other driver must have been stopped in his turn lane, then I saw the cars, no way was he stopped, he was gunning through to makes his left.
Oh, this looks bad. Glad to hear everyone is fine.
ReplyDeleteThe cars definitely came out the worst in this collision, only bumps and bruises for the drivers.
DeleteHe was lucky at least everyone walked away from it!
ReplyDeleteHe has been very lucky so far, he has walked away from both. I am tired of car shopping though.
DeleteI'm very sorry to hear about the accident but happy your son wasn't hurt.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Cars are replaceable, sons aren't
