And the World Turns
My ex-wife, the mother of my two sons, passed away last night. She has been battling cancer for sometime now. While we have been divorced for a long time this is hitting me harder than I expected. Here is the way I prefer to remember her, a happier time with her first born. Be at peace.
I appreciate that Mike, you would think that after being divorced 8 years that it wouldn't affect me this much. I guess the link through the boys is still pretty strong though.
I've sat down and tried to write this about 5 times, so here's #6 ;) I've been acquainted with you guys for around 17 years. First as a customer at Attactix. Later as an employee. It was through Heather I got the best part time job I ever had. And also through her, got to meet you and the boys.
With my own divorce having been wrapped up not too long before yours, I always felt a certain camaraderie with you. And I always looked forward to our infrequent club painting sessions, so I could watch you work. And steal methods. ;)
I too am remembering the good times. Usually involving spirited political discussions. :) I've kept you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to do so.
I'm so sorry to hear this Kris. I shall keep you and your boys in my thoughts. Be well my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne, I appreciate it
DeleteSorry to hear of your family's loss. My best to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss Kris.

DeleteSo sorry to hear this Kris. My thoughts are with you. You loved her at one time enough to marry her, have two kids. Of course it hurts.
ReplyDeleteI find it most upsetting that I was more or less kept out of the loop and wasn't given the opportunity to say goodbye.
DeleteKris, so sorry for your loss and the way it went down. Peace brother.
ReplyDeleteThanks Darel, I appreciate that!
