Trenchworx - WWI French FT-17 - Pt 2

I'm trying to push through the FT-17s as quickly as possible to try out these paints. Now the reddish brown is the only new paint at this stage, the green (Vallejo US Dark Green 893/095), yellow (Vallejo Green Ochre 914/119) and bluish grey (Reaper MSP Snow Shadow 9021) are all colors that I had on my paint shelf.

I have gone about as far as I'm willing to go this evening. I need to add the black border between all the colors next and follow that up with a gloss coat. Once that's applied I'll go in and start the weathering phase which will involve most of the other colors that I'm experimenting with.

This is where the evening ended:

I wanted to try out this new paint. I brushed it on this particular FT-17. Thinned nicely with water and went on nice and smooth. It was a little thinner than I expected so I may have added a bit to much water. But two coats is fine with me and I got a nice solid base color.

Same color but this time I airbrushed them. Airbrushed easily without to much thinning.

Airbrushed the other three colors. Tomorrow I'll add the black borders between the colors and hit the tracks. After that comes the gloss coat and weathering.

    1. Trenchworx is really doing nice work, a little on the pricey side but I'm willing to pay that for a quality product.

  3. The camouflage is very nice. I'm still working on that with my airbrush. I still have to go back over it with a brush!

    1. Just a little practice is all it takes. Although I should have done the yellow first, that one splattered a bit on me, so did the bluish grey a bit. I did go back in with the green to neaten things up. I think its going to look really striking when I add the black borders.

    1. I try and recommend them to everyone. I wish they put out more WWII stuff that I was interested in. I don't need Japanese tanks! High quality stuff though.
